I usually have a good sense of direction, but while in Prague for a summer session abroad, this was an entirely different story. Ironic, then, that I would be charged with the task of creating a map (Who, me?! Isn't that a bit hypocritical—or even mean?!) Instead, I took the words of Steven S. Hall as a driving methodology and created a conceptual map of Prague and the Czech Republic. Geography be damned; this was a map of experiences from my first 2 weeks in the country. I subverted the traditional compass rose for use as a rating of the experiences, where N = not so hot; S = so-so; E = experience this!; W = what the?! (reserved for the truly bizarre and unexplainable… and yes, there were several in this category!).
